Another wonderful scene at the Hall's
Pond Sanctuary in Brookline. Even
though they did extensive work there,
cutting back brush and such, it still
remains a most peaceful stroll, walking
along the boardwalk and partaking in the
healing aspect that always accompanies
such a chance encounter with nature.
Ah, the many wondrous
visions one will witness
when walking the trails
and byways of such a
wondrous island. Dawn
and dusk alike provide
many a splendid vision,
and one only needs to
partake in the great
outdoors to experience
these heavenly sights.
This scene is culled from
the balcony of a stay at
"Cuttyhunk Rentals"
where one can envelop
their soul in all that
embraces such an
ethereal land.
I wholly recommend a
visit or stay here and to
get there, please do
consider the ferry, which
one can access by

certain you will not be
disappointed!

This was a rather quick
study, having spent only 12
minutes on it! Wen I was
visiting my Mum, and my
sister was there as well,
we set up this still life and
gave ourselves that time
frame to come up with
something.
Sometimes it is amazing
how a little spontaneity can
create a work of art! Well,
at least I like it.
This vast panorama was initially a study of the wondrous fields and pastures up in
Ipswich, MA, and if you ever find yourself in that neck of the woods then you, too, will
be witness to these ethereal scenes, especially towards fall, when shadows are
long. And if you are in these environs, you must visit 'Crane Beach', an expansive and
beautiful beach that cannot help but assuage even the most harried of nerves. Also,
do stop in at 'Russell Orchards', where in October they have the most tantalizing
apple cider donuts imaginable! Oh, and as for the painting, I revised it and it
represents those incredibly electric yellow fields in England.
Just simply a calming and
wonderful scene, the epitome
of the English landscape.
Throughout my website you may have noticed that I have created
quite a few paintings based on this fabulous gem of an island,
Cuttyhunk, and I highly recommend making the jaunt out there. As
you can see by my varied pieces, there is a painting found in every
view, and that certainly is not an embellishment. You will find
various links to this enchanting island scattered about in my site, so
do take the time to find them. One note, though; if you do find
yourself lucky enough to go, make sure you bring your own wine or
beer as they don't sell any alcohol whatsoever!
Yes, once again a composition from
Cuttyhunk. I couldn't resist the worn
and faded wooden fence, as well as
the weathered shingles and that,
coupled with the long shadows, just
begged to be painted. This particular
structure you will see as you wend
your down to Church's Beach.
This is the view looking up
the expanse of Church's
Beach on Cuttyhunk. The
house is the same as the
one shown on my 'Even More'
page.
Many a time have I spent
soaking up the sun there,
watching the sparkling surf
and immersing myself in the
laziness of a summer day.
This scene is from the other side of the island on
Cuttyhunk. In the fall you'll witness the splendor
of the heather, as it flourishes along the
conservation paths. Also, from this other side,
you can see the most magnificent sunsets! Bring
a bottle of wine along, and sit at the picnic tables
to watch the brilliant end to the day.
Could...could this as well be
a scene from Cuttyhunk? No,
it's an old house on that other
wonderful place, Bailey
Island!
As you can readily see, I have
a few canvases from there as
well. How lucky am I, having
been witness to such
ethereal and enchanting
lands?
