This entire scene was inspired when I was visiting Cornwall,
England, with my family a handful of years ago, and during our
foray amongst  many a ruin, I espied this wondrous field of
bluebells spreading magnificently throughout these dense and
sun-dappled woods.

Upon returning to the States, I immediately began a series of this
motif, and now I present it to you on an entirely different surface. If
perchance you get the opportunity to visit the enchanting land of
Cornwall, I am sure that you, too, will witness such ethereal
visions.  If you do go, you must pack a lunch and then wend your
way to Xennor. There, you will find a most exhilarating hike along
the trails that follow the splendid shores and tumultuous seas.
Xennor is right outside St. Ives, yet another glorious spot to stay.
Here's to many jaunts and pints abroad!
Thank you so much for stopping by and visiting my site and art. As previously stated, I'd love to hear
from you, so please do
drop me a line or two.  In the mean time, should something strike your fancy,

This piece has a rather
interesting history to it. It is
actually a hutch door that
belonged to this discarded
piece of furniture, left along
the roadside. My girlfriend
was driving by and saw it
and tried to move it, but it
fell over and it broke. Later
on I retrieved it, brought it
back home, and thought it
could not be repaired. So I
took off this door and came
up with this abstract
design, something wholly
different than my other
canvases. And then I gave
it to my girlfriend for her
birthday! It now resides on
our chimney in our living
room.

This is a Victorian
tea cart my
girlfriend has had
for years, having
been passed
down through the
generations. And
since we had no
place for it in our
present abode,
she thought it to
be a great surface
to paint on. And I
readily agreed!

So after
contemplating its
surface, I thought
the perfect
painting would be
the 'Bluebells'
canvas I did
before, extending
the dimensions to
accommodate
even more of
those glorious
flowers!
Tea Cart, with tray, and leaves down.
This tea cart is from the Victorian
age, and it comes with the original
removeable glass serving tray.

Tea Cart, with tray, and leaves extended, with handle up.
Here the tea cart is
on end, with leaves
extended and handle
visible, and you can
see how nice the
shape and overall
design plays nicely
with such a canvas
as this.

Just an old wooden chair purchased for a
couple of dollars at a yard sale, and I thought
why not paint something other than having a
drab brown chair to sit in. So this was my first
foray into painting furniture and as you can
see from my other pieces, I have evolved
quite a bit. But still, I do like the simplicity to it,
and now it resides in our sunroom, where
one can sit back and enjoy the many birds
who inhabit our yard. Oh, and the cats love
this room, especially Fenway, as he spends
hours out there, watching anything that
moves.
